😱Python Bites Guy's Balls?!

Thank you all for coming to Animal Con!

The culprit..

Imagine you’re on a nice, tropical holiday in Thailand. You wake up in the middle of the night, and you need to take a leak. You walk into the bathroom, and sit down on the toilet. You didn’t look in the toilet bowl before sitting down because why would you, right? What’s the worst that can happen? Well…that may have been the worst mistake you’ve ever made in your life because BAM! A python has just clamped onto your nuts, and it’s not letting go.

To find out what happened in the aftermath of this bathroom battle, have a read of the article below!

Scientists want to keep highly-endangered animal samples on the moon.

Right now, we’re in the midst of the sixth mass extinction event. And with species dying out quicker than they can be replenished, we find ourselves in a bit of a calamity. We can’t save these species. But we could…clone them. That’s right, De-Extinction. The term made popular by amazing organisations like Colossal Biosciences. But, if we want to clone these rare and near-extinct species, we need their stored DNA. And this DNA needs to be kept in very, VERY cold climates to preserve it. How can we do that, you may ask? You’d think a normal sample freezer is a good option for that, right?

Nope! Scientists want to store these samples on the Moon. At its poles, temperatures can reach -321 F (-196 C). They say that keeping these samples on the Moon would mean there would be no need for humans to intervene, or for a continual power source to keep the storage facility cool. And an added bonus, the facility would be safe from natural disasters, climate change and geopolitical conflicts.
